Training tomorrow's leaders

The “Simula-ONU: Training Tomorrow’s Leaders” is a unique educational technology that can be offered in the regular or after-school hours of elementary schools.

This program is inspired by an active teaching/learning methodology developed at Harvard University in the United States.

Through theoretical and practical meetings, students are invited to play roles of country representatives in debates on global issues such as environmental education, climate change and combating hunger.

"The project is of paramount importance because it leads all these children to understand what the world outside Brazil is like."

"It was very good, I liked it a lot, I learned a lot. In the project I felt very free and I really liked the professionals who were there, because they were able to support us and we learned a lot of things."

"The Simula-ONU Project has emerged as a unique opportunity to get our students involved in citizenship issues in general."

"The project ends up bringing public policy to all citizens. And this will certainly have a very big impact on these young people."

"Normally, young people our age are little recognized. And Simula ONU gives us this opportunity, gives us this freedom of choice to see what we want to do."

"I think this project is very important, because it gives these children a unique opportunity, very rare to get. An opportunity like this for a child to have, this kind of experience, I have only seen in other places in the world."

"We notice how important it is to create conditions for participants to have these experiences, so that they can live real experiences and be able to be transforming agents of our world."

"With the Simula-ONU, students realize that the world is much bigger, it has many more possibilities. And they learn to debate, to negotiate, to understand how politics works and can bring it to their reality."

"It is an opportunity to get to know the reality of these countries and broaden your horizons with the Simula UN Project."
